Productivity Tools
Dropbox
Dropbox is a home for all your work. You can store and share files, collaborate on projects, and store all of your “stuff” in the cloud—whether you’re working alone or with colleagues and clients without risks of losing them when your computer crashes!
Notion
Notion is both a project management and note-taking software. The ability to write and add elements anywhere makes it one of the closest things to sketching your own to-do lists and trackers on paper.
Zoom
You likely know what Zoom is post-pandemic, but Zoom is a video conferencing service allowing you to work remotely through video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars.
Loom
Loom is a great productivity app for sending video messages. Let’s say someone on my team is doing a presentation. Rather than doing it in a Zoom meeting (where everyone has to waste time setting up etc), the presenter will just record a Loom and send it out. Then we can all watch at 2x speed and understand what’s going on quickly and efficiently.
Figma
Figma is an incredible web application for visual design. It’s how I do mock-ups for logos, web designs, Instagram carousels, and other things on the design side. I even used Figma to wireframe this website. It’s also great for quick brainstorms. Nowadays though, my main use case is making and reviewing social media thumbnail concepts.
LastPass
LastPass keeps all of my passwords in one place, so I can easily log in to any website without having to remember a zillion different combinations. It also auto-generates strong passwords when you set up a new account, so you’re not using duplicates that leave all your accounts vulnerable if just one gets hacked.
